For 21 years Table Rock Angler has stocked only high quality fly fishing
equipment. It is completely stocked with over 140 new rods, scores of reels,
lines, boots, waders, jackets, books, hooks, threads, feathers, synthetic tying
materials, gadgets, landing nets, wader bags, chest vests, and flies for those
that prefer not to tie their own. There are also wader repair kits, hip boot
straps, landing net replacement bags, boot laces, and other gear maintenance items.
What you will get when visiting the shop is PERSONAL SERVICE. Unlike other
shops mostly selling by catalog and web sites, you will be treated kindly with
tips shared freely. We want to meet you personally and believe in sharing
knowledge learned in over 45 years of fly fishing.
We have met our best friends in this shop and you will be greeted cheerfully
whether you are here to buy a rod or just ask questions. You can get on-the-spot
fly tying instruction, knot tying tips, and will be offered a sheet containing
formulas to tie your own leaders that the owner has developed over 30 years.
There are also handouts to help you care for the quality rod you purchase.
Tips on selecting an appropriate rod for certain line weights and fishing
conditions will be expertly suggested. Your new reel can be loaded with the
appropriate amount of backing to compliment the fly line you choose.
The shop is off the beaten path where after entering the property one may see
a great view of Table Rock and Hawksbill Mountains, deer and other wildlife.
It is requested that an appointment be made to provide individual time for you.
This appointment allows Table Rock Angler to meet with you at a mutually
convenient time, which may include those times when most fly shops are closed.
This enables us to give you the service that you deserve. While we are a
little out of the way, we sincerely hope you depart knowing this visit was
worth your while.
Table Rock Angler encourages you to put back into the resources that we enjoy
by joining Trout Unlimited and other conservation organizations. Even if you do
not become active in your local chapter, your membership says: "I believe in
keeping our waters clean and our trout habitat viable."
If there is something you need that is not in stock, Table Rock Angler will
seek to find it for you. The shop phone is: (828) 433-RODS (7637)
